Plaza de la Lealtad. This obelisk dedicated to the popular uprising against the French on May 2th, 1808, now honors all those who gave their lifes for Spain. It was built in 1840 by Isidro González Velázquez and is located in the Plaza de la Lealtad off the Paseo del Prado.
